The first question of Fatwa no.

Q 1: Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He) and His Messenger enjoined on people to maintain the ties of kinship. I have a disability and deafness -All Praise is due to Allah- that prevents me from maintaining the ties of kinship because I do not hear what they are saying. Will I be punished for cutting the ties of kinship?
A:
If the reality is as you have mentioned; that you are disabled and deaf and this prevents you
from visiting your relatives, we hope that there will be no sin on you. We recommend you to explain this to your relatives in order for them to think good of you and not to cut their ties with you.
